Alternators can be subjected to voltage spikes caused by lithium battery shutdowns, intermittent connections, and other over-voltage events, and a single bad spike can damage an alternator's diodes or internal regulator without warning.

The {BRAND} Alternator Protection Module helps protect against spikes clamping up to 60V and sustained over-voltage conditions starting around 20V for the 12V version, absorbing multiple surges without failure. It can absorb surges in excess of 200 amps, giving genuine ongoing protection rather than a one-time fuse that has to be replaced after tripping.
