Description

Sized for 8 to 10 in gongs, this Birchwood Casey gong hanger is made from 3/8 in thick AR500 steel. It holds the plate on its own hanging point, separate from the plate itself. That lets you build or repair a steel target setup around gongs you already own.

AR500 is the hardened steel grade used for most steel targets, so the hanger is built from the same class of material as the plate it carries. A hung gong swings when hit, which takes some of the energy out of the impact and gives a visible hit. You still need a stand or other structure to hang it from.
