Attwood White 5-Step Folding Rope Boarding Ladder

The Attwood folding rope boarding ladder gives swimmers and passengers a simple way to climb back aboard when a permanently mounted ladder is not available. Five molded steps provide multiple footholds while the rope construction lets the ladder conform to the side of the boat. The textured step surfaces improve grip when feet are wet, and the wide tread design is more comfortable than climbing directly on rope. A top loop secures quickly around a cleat or suitable rail without requiring permanent deck hardware.

Polyethylene steps are joined by durable nylon rope, keeping the ladder light enough to deploy and recover by hand. Support legs and the rigid step structure help keep the treads away from the hull so a user has room to place a foot securely. The ladder folds flat when not in use, which makes it easier to stow in a locker without taking up the space of a fixed metal ladder. Aluminum tubing is also used in the assembly to provide structure without adding excessive weight. The molded steps are approximately 11-3/4 in wide, providing more usable footing than a narrow rope rung. The assembly also uses 11 in hooks and support legs to help hold the ladder away from the hull.

• Five molded steps with textured footing surfaces
• Nylon rope construction folds flat for storage
• Top loop secures quickly to a cleat or railing
• Support legs help maintain foot clearance from the hull

Choose a strong attachment point before anyone enters the water and make sure the ladder reaches low enough for a swimmer to place a foot on the bottom step. Rinse and dry the rope and steps after saltwater use so the ladder stays ready for emergency or recreational boarding.
