Attwood White PowerBase Powered Folding Antenna Mount

The Attwood PowerBase powered antenna mount automates the process of raising and lowering a compatible marine antenna from the helm. With the push of a switch, the base deploys the antenna for use or folds it down for storage, bridges, covers, and trailering. SafeGuard breakaway behavior allows the base to return toward the stowed position after an impact, helping reduce the chance of damage to a fiberglass top. SmartDeploy backdrive can also sense a blocked deployment and reverse the mount instead of continuing to push against the obstruction.

The standardized mounting pattern is intended to simplify installation and allow later upgrades without redesigning the entire mounting area. The antenna version works with common threaded VHF antennas within the manufacturer’s length limit. Installation requires standard drilling tools, marine sealant, PTFE lubricant, mounting hardware for through-bolting when used, and a suitable illuminated SPST control switch. The antenna itself is not supplied, so the owner can choose the compatible VHF antenna that best fits the vessel. The powered base is intended for compatible 1-1/4 in threaded VHF antennas up to 8 ft long. Installation requires the appropriate drill bits, driver, marine-grade sealant, PTFE lubricant, mounting hardware, and a two-position SPST control switch; those items are not supplied with the base.

Mount the base on a rigid surface that can support both the antenna and the loads created while the boat is underway. Seal every fastener and cable penetration carefully, and verify that the selected antenna clears surrounding equipment through the full powered travel.
