A lifted outboard puts hundreds of foot-pounds of pressure on the transom during trailering, and the Attwood Heavy-Duty Adjustable Transom Saver is built to take that load off the boat instead of the transom absorbing every bump in the road.

It supports the cantilevered weight of the motor and stabilizes the engine and steering mechanism while towing, reducing the stress, vibration, and road shock that would otherwise transfer straight into the transom.
