Armaspec Gen 4 Black Carbine Stealth Recoil Spring

The Armaspec Gen 4 Stealth Recoil Spring (SRS) is a drop-in replacement for the buffer and spring in AR-15 carbine rifles. It's a self-contained, multi-stage system that keeps constant tension on the bolt carrier. That gives smoother, quieter cycling and less felt recoil.

A standard buffer spring rubs and twangs inside the buffer tube, and the SRS spring never touches the tube walls. It installs with or without a buffer retainer. This version has an equivalent buffer weight of 3.3 oz. The black finish identifies this version within the line and makes it easy to distinguish from the other color options. This is the standard carbine configuration in the Gen 4 Stealth Recoil Spring line rather than the H-weight version.

Gen 4 removes the o-ring from the weight, adds a machined cap on the rod and uses 3/32 hex key screws. Armaspec makes it in the USA. The finish is easy to overlook when several versions use the same dimensions and hardware, so compare the full model description. The Carbine designation is the key configuration difference to check before installation or replacement. Browse more gun parts and accessories.
