ARCO Mercury 30-60HP Power Tilt Trim Assembly

The ARCO 6800 is a complete power tilt and trim assembly for Mercury outboards in the 30 to 60 HP range. Instead of replacing only the electric motor, it swaps the whole unit when the pump, cylinder, or seals have worn out along with it. ARCO lists it as a replacement for Mercury power trim assemblies 830150T4, 830150T6, 830150T10, 893518T01, and 8M0055006.

A full assembly makes sense when the trim leaks down under load, drips fluid at the rams, or will not hold the motor up on the trailer. Rebuilding an old unit piece by piece can cost nearly as much in parts and labor, and it still leaves aging components in service. On this assembly, the motor shaft is induction case hardened where it rides in the bearings, and the motor is epoxy powder coated to protect its insulation.

Match the Mercury part number on your old assembly to the cross-references above before ordering, since the 30 to 60 HP range spans several engine generations. Support the outboard with blocks or a transom support while the old unit is off, and keep dirt away from the open hydraulic fittings.
