ARCO Mercruiser Oildyne Pump Tilt Trim Motor

The ARCO 6275 is a replacement tilt and trim motor for late-model MerCruiser sterndrives that use an Oildyne pump. It connects with ring terminal ends, the same style used on the original wiring. The motor is a complete new unit rather than a rebuild kit, so it goes on in place of the failed motor without reworking brushes or bearings.

It cross-references to a long list of Mercury motor numbers, including the 14336A series, 865380A03 and 865380A13, and the 88183A series. Sierra 18-6769 and 18-6813 are listed as equivalents as well, which helps if your old motor is an aftermarket unit. ARCO runs each motor at five load levels, and it must meet or beat the original equipment's performance before it is boxed.

A failing trim motor usually shows up as slow movement, a hum with no movement, or a motor that only runs after a tap with a wrench.
