Description
The Ancor White 16/3 AWG Flat Triplex Cable is a 100-foot length with white, black and green conductors in a common jacket.
Sixteen gauge is the lightest triplex made, for low-current AC circuits and three-conductor control runs. It is not for outlets or appliances, which need 14 gauge at minimum. Using 16 gauge triplex on a receptacle circuit is undersizing that will not show until something substantial is plugged in.
The flat profile keeps the cable close against panels and behind trim where round triplex would sit proud. The round version of the same gauge suits conduit and bundled runs instead, and the shape follows the route rather than any preference.
A hundred feet covers one run rather than a boat, which is usually what a light three-conductor circuit needs. Type 3 Class K ultra-flexible stranding resists vibration and flexing fatigue, and the jacket strips easily while providing abrasion resistance. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.
- 16 gauge, the lightest triplex made
- Not for outlets or appliances: those need 14
- Undersizing shows when something substantial plugs in
- Flat for panels, round for conduit
