Description
The Ancor Red/Yellow 6/2 AWG Flat Safety Duplex Cable is a 100-foot length in a white common jacket, rated 600V.
Six gauge duplex is heavy for a two-conductor cable, and it exists for circuits where positive and negative really do run together. A windlass, a thruster or a sub-panel feed all send both conductors to the same place, so duplex saves running two separate cables and clipping them side by side the whole way.
Where the negative goes to a bus bar somewhere else entirely, single conductor is the better choice and duplex would waste half the cable. That decision is worth making before ordering rather than partway through the run.
Red and yellow follows ABYC safety coding, with the white common jacket identifying the cable from outside. Type 3 Class K ultra-flexible tinned copper stranding resists corrosion, vibration and flexing fatigue, and the insulation is rated 105°C dry and 75°C wet. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.
