AMEC B650 5W NMEA Class B AIS Transceiver

The AMEC B650 is the standard 5W Class B AIS transceiver in this line, without the Wi-Fi or splitter options. It connects to your chartplotter through NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, or USB. That makes it the lowest-cost way to get 5W AIS transmit power from AMEC.

Its third-generation AIS engine has -111 dBm receiving sensitivity and very low power draw. The 72-channel GNSS receiver supports GPS, Galileo, Beidou, or GLONASS. It is compact and IP68 waterproof, and it is tested for shock, vibration, temperature, and salt mist.

You will need a dedicated AIS or VHF antenna, since this model has no built-in splitter. FCC rules require units sold in the US to be programmed by a qualified technician, and an MMSI registration or FCC Ship Station License is needed at purchase.
