Description

The Red, White, and Blue 203383 Skinner has a 3.75-inch satin stainless blade with a full tang and a layered handle of red wood, white bone and blue wood and a brown leather sheath.

The handle is built from stacked slices of contrasting material rather than two solid scales. Each layer is cut, glued under pressure and shaped as one piece, so the colors show as bands running the length of the grip. Mixing bone with wood in the same handle is unusual, and the two materials age differently: the wood darkens with handling while the bone stays pale, so the contrast sharpens over time.

Behind the decoration this is a working skinner, with a broad curved belly for hide work and a full tang running the whole length. Explore more Hunting Knives.

  • Layered red wood, white bone and blue wood handle
