Wichard 14mm HR Stainless Steel D Shackle

The Wichard HR D Shackle 14mm for Marine Rigging is a forged shackle for connecting sailboat rigging and deck fittings. Its 17-4 PH high-resistance stainless steel body is intended for demanding load applications. The connection uses a straight-sided D profile.

Its D shape suits connections that load primarily through the straight body and pin. Pin and opening dimensions should match the hardware connected to it. The shackle should be loaded in the intended alignment rather than across an unsupported side angle. The shackle can be used with other rigging hardware only where the connection and load arrangement are compatible.

The marine working load listed for this size is 11,280 lb. The published breaking load is 26,450 lb. Wichard specifically excludes this HR shackle from mooring use.
