Wichard 70mm Swivel and Clevis Pin Snap Shackle

The Wichard Snap Shackle with Swivel & Clevis Pin 70mm is a snap shackle for connecting a sail-control line or related rigging fitting. Its clevis-pin swivel provides a pinned connection with rotation at the attachment. Wichard identifies 17-4 PH high-resistance steel for this fitting. The spring/plunger arrangement differs from the screw pin on a conventional shackle.

The release opens the hook when the connection needs to be changed. A lanyard can be fitted to the plunger on versions equipped for remote operation. The swivel helps the sail-control connection rotate freely. This design is intended for frequent connection changes rather than a permanently bolted deck fitting.
