Description

The Uflex 12-inch mechanical hatch lifter gives powered opening and closing for compatible heavy engine hatches, peak tanks, and other marine access panels. The electromechanical actuator can stop at intermediate positions between fully closed and fully open, letting the operator control access without manually supporting a heavy hatch.

An internal self-locking mechanism holds the hatch at the selected position and helps prevent accidental closing after the switch is released. If electrical power is lost, an emergency manual-opening provision allows access to be restored, an important consideration when the lifter is used over engine or service compartments.

Confirm hatch weight, geometry, mounting points, required stroke, electrical supply, opening angle, and clearance throughout the actuator’s travel before installation. The mounting structure must handle the lifting forces safely. Wire the unit with appropriate circuit protection and test both powered and emergency manual operation before relying on the system.

  • The actuator reduces the need to lift engine or access panels by hand.
  • Controlled travel lets the opening be set between closed and fully raised.
  • An internal self-locking mechanism helps prevent unintended closing.
  • Emergency manual operation gives a backup opening method.
