Description

The T-H Marine HYDRA is an 800 GPH automatic 12V bilge pump with an integrated float switch.

Anti-airlock is the feature that matters most and the one buyers rarely ask about. A bilge pump that has run dry traps air in the volute, and a conventional impeller can spin against that air without moving water at all. The HYDRA is built to clear it and restart, which is the difference between a pump that works on the second call and one that does not.

The Sure-Start float switch runs a programmed start delay so a wake slopping across the bilge does not trigger a cycle. False starts are what wear a pump out, since each one is a full motor start for no water moved. An external test knob lets the switch be checked without reaching into the bilge or pouring water in to raise the float.

The motor shaft is 316 stainless, the grade used where salt exposure is constant, and the motor is precision balanced to cut the vibration that loosens mounts over a season. T-H Marine puts 4,000 hours of testing behind it, and the nozzle pulls off for service without breaking the hose connection. Explore more bilge and water pumps.

  • Anti-airlock design restarts after running dry
  • Start delay stops false cycling from a wake
  • External test knob, no reaching into the bilge
  • 316 stainless motor shaft, 800 GPH at 12V
