The Surefire X300 Ultra gives 1,000 lumens in black, fitting Picatinny and universal rails on two CR123A cells.
The A version uses the rail-lock lever attachment, which clamps and releases in one movement rather than needing a thumbscrew turned down. For a light that moves between a handgun and a long gun, that difference is worth the extra cost. For a light that gets fitted once and left, it is not.
At 1,000 lumens the Ultra is the output model, throwing a wide bright beam that lights a room rather than reaching to distance the way the Turbo does.
