SureFire 9 mm Stainless Bore Alignment Rod

The SureFire 9 mm bore alignment rod is the larger-caliber option in this group of SureFire inspection rods. It is produced from heat-treated stainless steel and has a silver finish. The rod is intended for 9 mm bores and should be selected by caliber rather than by overall appearance.

A caliber-matched alignment rod gives the user a straight line through the bore for checking how compatible muzzle hardware lines up with the barrel. The 9 mm diameter distinguishes this model from the narrower rifle-caliber rods in the same family. That size difference is important enough that the rod should be labeled and stored with the correct caliber tools.

This is best treated as a dedicated setup and inspection tool instead of a general-purpose cleaning accessory. Keeping it straight and separate from flexible rods or cables will make it easier to grab the correct tool when needed.
