This Standard Horizon handheld, finished in black, brings genuine hands-free operation to a marine radio, a genuine convenience for boats running a full crew or a couple handling docking together where hands are already full.

An ergonomic case design tested against Military Standard 810F backs up the ruggedness this radio needs for real marine use. Communications stay private through two separate scrambling systems, one running 4 codes and a second running 32, and a built-in FM radio tuner gives something to listen to when off duty. Waypoint and route navigation, DSC-based group monitoring, and group position calling round out a feature-dense handheld.

Selectable 6W/2W/1W transmit power, floats, submersible, switchable day/night display mode, built-in FM radio, 3-year waterproof warranty. Includes rechargeable Li-Ion battery and alkaline battery tray.
