Description

The Smith and Wesson Tritium Watch has a 45mm case with a tritium light source, a rotating bezel, a mineral crystal and a black nylon and leather strap, water resistant to 330 feet.

Tritium is the feature worth paying for. It glows continuously for years through radioactive decay rather than needing to be charged by light, so the watch is readable at 4am after a week in a drawer. Luminous paint fades within hours of being charged. Tritium does not need charging at all.

A rotating bezel times an interval by aligning the marker with the minute hand, which is how divers and pilots have tracked elapsed time without a stopwatch. Mineral crystal resists scratches far better than acrylic, and at 45mm this is a large case that reads easily at a glance. Explore more watches.
