SmartPlug 50 Amp Grey Non-Metallic Inlet Cover

The SmartPlug Non-Metallic Inlet Cover is a gray 50A 125/250V cover for the SmartPlug shore power inlet system.

Gray is the alternative to white, and it is the better choice on a darker hull, a gray gelcoat panel or a transom where white would draw the eye. Both are non-metallic rather than stainless, which on a cover over an AC connection means it cannot become live if something inside fails.

The SmartPlug inlet uses a much larger contact area than a conventional twist connection, improving conductivity and reducing the resistance-related heat that develops under sustained load. The mating connector pushes straight into the shaped inlet with no twisting, and side clips secure the body so normal cord movement is not carried by the pins.
