Description

The Slim Skinner 7992 Brown Wood Patch Knife is a Rite Edge fixed blade, a 4-inch stainless skinner blade with full tang construction, set in a brown wood handle and shipped with a leather sheath.

Full tang construction runs the steel the entire length of the handle, so the knife holds up to hard use instead of flexing or loosening the way a partial-tang blade can. The skinner shape gives the edge a broad, curved sweep built for skinning and field dressing, and this slim profile keeps it easy to control during detailed work. Brown wood carries that classic, rustic look through the whole handle.

Rite Edge built this piece as an affordable, no-nonsense fixed blade for hunters and anyone who needs a dependable field knife. Explore more Hunting Knives. Explore more fixed blade knives.

Skinner blade shape suits skinning and field dressing work
Slim profile stays easy to control during detailed work
Full tang construction for lasting strength
Ships with a leather sheath

Hunters who process their own game tend to keep a dedicated skinner like this one on hand rather than relying on a general-purpose blade for the whole job. The four-inch blade length gives it a bit more reach than the smaller skinner in this lineup, useful for anyone who wants a touch more blade without stepping up to a full-size hunting knife. A slimmer blade like this one also tends to be easier to keep sharp, since there's less material to work through when it's time for a touch-up.
