The Scandvik E-500 is a surface mounted engine room light in cool white giving 1,520 lumens on 10-30V, with an impact-resistant PC lens and rear wire exit.
The wires exit straight back through the mounting surface rather than out of the side, which means no cable is exposed in a space where it could be snagged, chafed or splashed with oil. In an engine room that is a real advantage, since anything running along a bulkhead there eventually gets caught or soaked.
A polycarbonate lens rather than glass or acrylic resists the impact of a dropped tool or a shifting spare part, which is what breaks fixtures in that space.
