Description
The Rule ECO-Switch Non-Mercury Automatic Bilge Pump Switch gives automatic control for a compatible bilge pump without using mercury. Instead of a submerged electrical switching mechanism, the ECO-Switch uses air pressure created as bilge water rises, keeping its electrical wiring and connections out of the water.
With no moving internal parts in the pressure-operated sensing system, the ECO-Switch gives an alternative to a traditional float arm and keeps submerged electrical connections out of the bilge. This arrangement also reduces the amount of electrical hardware exposed directly to standing bilge water.
Confirm pump current draw, electrical-system voltage, fuse or breaker requirements, mounting height, wire routing, and unrestricted switch movement or sensing before installation. Keep the sensing area clear of debris and test automatic pump activation with water after wiring is complete. A bilge switch should be inspected regularly as part of the boat's pumping system. Compare with our other bilge and water pumps.
- The switch activates a compatible pump as bilge water reaches the designed level.
- The design uses a non-mercury method for automatic pump control.
- Automatic activation reduces reliance on manual switching when water rises.
- Accessible installation makes periodic testing and cleaning easier.
