Rough Rider Zipper Slider Knife with Black Red G10 Handle

The Rough Rider Zipper Slider sets a 1.88-inch satin-finished stainless blade that slides in and out of a black and red G10 handle u in an unusual deployment mechanismsing a lever on the back panel rather than a traditional pivot and lock.

That sliding lever mechanism is the standout feature here, a departure from the pivoting blade found on virtually every other folding knife in Rough Rider's entire catalog, closing down to a compact 3.25 inches overall. The black and red G10 handle, paired with a stainless back panel, gives this piece a modern, distinctive look that stands well apart from Rough Rider's bone and wood traditional patterns. The satin blade finish gives a clean, understated look while resisting fingerprints noticeably better than a full mirror polish would.

Rough Rider built this particular piece as a novel take on blade deployment, a conversation piece for collectors who want something mechanically different altogether from the usual, everyday folder. Sliding-blade mechanisms remain uncommon across the entire traditional and modern knife world alike, so this is piece a curiosity that's well worth attention. Explore more Specialty Knives.
