Description

The Rough Rider Trapper in Green Micarta sets a satin-finished stainless clip blade with a spey blade, fitted to a green canvas Micarta handle with stainless bolsters and an inlay shield, part of the Classic Micarta series.

The clip blade takes the everyday jobs, while the spey blade's flatter edge and rounded tip is purpose-built for detail work and skinning tasks that a pointed blade handles far less cleanly. Green canvas Micarta gives this trapper a modern, distinctive look well beyond the bone and wood handles found on most traditional patterns in this price range, while still delivering durability against daily handling and moisture. Stainless bolsters resist corrosion at the pivot points even better than the more common nickel silver, and an inlay shield adds collector-grade detailing throughout the piece.

Opening is by nail nick, the way these have always worked, and each individual blade is retained by a slip joint that works on spring tension rather than a mechanical locking bar. Rough Rider's Classic Micarta series brings modern materials to the classic trapper pattern here, an upgrade for anyone who regularly holds this knife in wet or humid outdoor conditions. • Green canvas Micarta handle resists cracking and moisture damage
  • Stainless bolsters resist corrosion better than nickel silver
