Description

The Rough Rider Coke Bottle in Cinnamon Bone sets a clip and sheepsfoot blade combination showing the distinctive layered pattern Damascus is known in real Damascus steel for, fitted to a cinnamon jigged bone handle with nickel silver bolsters and an inlay shield.

Damascus steel is forged from repeatedly folded and welded steel layers, giving each blade its own naturally varied pattern from the forging process, so no two knives look exactly alike. General cutting falls to the clip blade, while the sheepsfoot blade's straight edge and blunt spine excel at controlled push cuts where a pointed blade would be less precise. The coke bottle pattern gets its name from the handle's distinctive curved silhouette, narrower in the middle and wider at both ends, closely resembling the classic glass soda bottle shape it's named for.

Each blade is opened by a nail nick in the old pattern, retained by a slip joint that works on spring tension rather than a mechanical locking bar. Rough Rider's Damascus lineup gives collectors an accessible entry point into pattern-welded steel on a distinctive pattern, without the premium pricing custom Damascus work usually commands.
