The Roper Double Action Trapper has satin 1065 carbon steel clip and spey blades in a white smooth bone handle with nickel silver bolsters, closing to 4.25 inches.

White smooth bone is the brightest handle in the traditional range and the least forgiving. Polished flat rather than jigged, it shows every mark and the grain beneath, where a coffee brown or jigged handle hides both. That makes it a display choice as much as a working one, and collectors tend to buy white bone for the contrast against a darkening carbon blade.
