The Ritchie SS-5000 SuperSport Compass, Black, was developed and race-tested on offshore competition boats, running Ritchie's PowerDamp Plus dial technology to stay steady rather than swinging wildly with every wave.

A PowerDamp skirt keeps oscillation under control, larger DirectiveForce magnets lock the needle onto north noticeably faster than a standard compass, and oversized steel pivots paired with jewel bearings keep the whole assembly moving smoothly even in rough conditions. Internal gimbaling holds the dial level through real pitch and roll, and a high-visibility blue open face with extra-large white numerals stays legible at a glance.
