RIGID SR-L Blue Halo Marine Spreader Light

The RIGID SR-L Blue Halo Marine Spreader Light combines broad area lighting with a separate halo accent in a compact surface-mount housing. Its forward light uses a 120-degree beam pattern to cover deck space, work areas, loading zones, or the area around a boat or vehicle. The blue halo can be used as accent lighting when full spreader output is unnecessary. That gives the installer both practical area illumination and a lower-key visual mode from the same fixture.

The light uses two-wire switch logic to move between high power, low power, and accent-light modes. Flying leads allow the fixture to be wired directly into the boat or vehicle electrical system, while the matching part-numbered accessory switch is sold separately. The lower-output modes are useful when full deck brightness would be distracting, and the accent mode can provide ambient illumination without turning on the main forward beam. The switching approach keeps the control scheme simple without adding a separate dimmer module.

Marine construction includes a polyester-based powder coat over an Alodine pretreatment, 316 stainless steel mounting hardware and brackets, plastic isolation bushings, and an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens. Those material choices are aimed at the corrosion, moisture, and vibration found around boats. The white housing blends naturally with many fiberglass and painted marine surfaces. RIGID supplies the fixture as a single light.

Because the spreader is intended for wide-area lighting, mounting height and aim should be chosen to minimize glare while covering the working area. The 120-degree pattern is useful over decks and surrounding spaces where a narrow driving beam would leave dark areas. The separate accent mode adds another option for dockside or low-level nighttime use. A compatible switch and the final wiring path should be planned before installation.
