Real Avid Breech Plug Master Maintenance Kit

The Real Avid Breech Plug Master is a dedicated maintenance kit for muzzleloader breech plugs. Breech plugs collect residue in their threads and small recesses. Tools made for that job work better than adapted bore-cleaning pieces.

A clean breech plug removes more easily and seals properly. Regular maintenance helps prevent a plug from seizing in place. Keeping the tools together makes the routine easy to repeat.

Clean the plug after every range session or hunt. Use an anti-seize product on the threads when reinstalling. Keep the workpiece supported and follow the component manufacturer's torque guidance when the maintenance job involves threaded parts. Browse more gun cleaning and maintenance.
