Real Avid Bore-Max 9 in Carbon Fiber Pistol Rod

The Real Avid Bore-Max Smart Rod is a 9 in carbon-fiber cleaning rod sized for pistol maintenance. A comfort-grip handle gives the user a dedicated handhold while the carbon-fiber shaft keeps the working rod lightweight and non-metallic. The short overall length is appropriate for handgun bores rather than long rifle barrels.

A pistol-specific cleaning rod avoids the extra length and handling of a full rifle rod when the job is a shorter barrel. Carbon fiber also gives the rod a different feel from traditional steel or brass designs. The handle and shaft are supplied as one purpose-built tool, so the user does not need to improvise a long rod for handgun work.

This 9 in Smart Rod is best paired with compatible cleaning attachments sized for the handgun being serviced. Owners who also clean rifles will still need a longer rod for those barrels. Browse more gun cleaning and maintenance products for additional bore-cleaning tools and accessories.
