Pro-Shot 6.5 in .38-.45 Starter Pistol Cleaning Kit

The Pro-Shot Starter Pistol Cleaning Kit is a compact kit for .38 through .45 caliber pistols. It uses a 6.5 inch rod sized for handgun barrels. That keeps the kit small enough for any range bag. It's a simple, affordable way to start a cleaning routine for a new pistol.

The rod is Pro-Shot's micro-polished stainless steel, and the accessories use the standard 8-32 thread. That makes replacement brushes and jags easy to find. A short rod is easier to control on a pistol than a full-length rifle rod. This version is sized for .38, so keep the bore-specific components with the matching firearm.

Clean from the breech end on semi-automatics when you can, with the barrel removed. Push a wet patch, scrub with the brush, then patch until clean. Add a drop of oil to the slide rails and barrel hood afterward. A starter kit covers the basics without paying for parts you won't use. Add your preferred solvent and lubricant.
