Powerwinch Saltwater 1,200 lb Trailer Jack - Zinc

The Powerwinch Saltwater 1,200 lb Trailer Jack - Zinc is part of Powerwinch's Saltwater Series, built for trailers that go into salt water. It is rated for 1,200 lb and has a zinc-plated coating rated for more than 500 hours of salt spray. That coating resists corrosion far better than a standard finish, which helps the jack last on trailers dunked at saltwater ramps.

The bolt-on mount clamps to the trailer tongue with a bracket, so you can install it with hand tools and no welding. That also makes it easy to move or replace later. A single wheel lets you roll the trailer tongue around the driveway or into a garage once it is unhitched. It is the standard setup for lighter boat trailers on pavement or concrete. A pivot pin sleeve keeps the swivel action dependable when you flip the jack up for travel, and an oversized, textured handle makes cranking comfortable. Rinsing the jack with fresh water after each saltwater launch helps the coating last even longer.

A jack's rating applies to tongue weight, which on most boat trailers is roughly 5 to 10 percent of the loaded trailer, so a 1,200 lb jack covers loaded trailers up to roughly 12,000 lb. Check the tongue weight of your loaded trailer with a tongue scale or bathroom scale method before choosing a size. Other sizes, mounts and wheel styles are in our trailer jacks section.
