Perko 5 in Chrome-Plated Bronze Barrel Bolt

The 5 in barrel bolt from Perko locks boat doors, hatch covers, and compartment panels with a hand-operated sliding bolt. It measures about 5-1/4 in long and 1-7/16 in wide, a longer body than the 4 in version for larger doors and panels. The chrome-plated bronze construction keeps a bright finish that matches other chrome hardware aboard.

A 3/8 in bolt slides into a high-impact black nylon keeper that mounts in a 5/8 in hole. The friction pad built into the bolt keeps it quiet when the boat is running and helps hold it in position. The nylon keeper takes up very little room on the frame side of the door.

Perko lists this size as part number 0947DP3CHR, which helps when matching hardware already on the boat. Measure the existing bolt and the keeper hole before ordering to confirm the fit, and note that the 4 in Perko barrel bolt has the same bolt and keeper in a shorter body.
