Panther Water Spike 16-22 ft Shallow Water Anchor

Sized for boats from 16 to 22 feet, this Panther Water Spike Anchor is the larger of the two Water Spike models. It is made of 1/4 inch plated steel. The design is completely collapsible for compact storage. Less weight to haul makes a real difference over a long day of moving between spots.

Panther built the Water Spike to deliver a lot of holding power for very little weight. On a mid-size fishing boat, that means less to haul up by hand at the end of each stop. Folded, it stows in a console or deck compartment. Its design packs down smaller than a fixed-shank anchor.

The plated steel helps the anchor hold up to repeated use. Scope still matters with any anchor, and letting out more line in wind or current helps it set. Use a length of chain at the anchor to help it dig in. For boats under 16 feet, the smaller Water Spike is in our boat anchors section.
