Description

The Pacer Yellow 4/0 AWG Battery Cable is a 50-foot spool of Type III finely stranded tinned copper, made in the USA.

Four aught yellow is the ABYC-coded negative in the heaviest cable Pacer stocks, and the identification matters most at this size. A 4/0 conductor connected wrongly does not produce a small error. Color coding is often the only identification available once the run disappears behind a bulkhead.

Fifty feet is the working length at this gauge, since 4/0 runs are short by design: battery to switch, switch to inverter, bank to bank. A long 4/0 run usually means the batteries are in the wrong place rather than that a longer cable is needed.

Fine-strand construction is what makes 4/0 installable at all, letting it bend around the sweeps a heavy cable needs. Flexible PVC insulation and tinned copper suit the battery compartment, and the cable is manufactured in the USA. Explore more battery cable.

  • 4/0 yellow is the ABYC negative in the heaviest gauge
  • Color is often the only identification behind a bulkhead
  • 50 feet: 4/0 runs are short by design
  • A long 4/0 run means the batteries are misplaced
