Twenty-five feet is the shortest 1/0 quantity, suiting one measured positive run rather than a spool to keep. Alternator to bank, battery to switch, switch to inverter: these are short by nature, and at 1/0 the copper cost makes buying to a measurement worthwhile.

A 1/0 positive needs its protection close to the battery, since everything between the bank and the fuse is unprotected. That constraint shapes where the fuse block goes as much as where the cable runs, and it is easier to plan before installation than to correct afterward.
