Description

The Pacer Black 8 AWG Primary Wire is a 250-foot spool of Type III Class K finely stranded tinned copper, made in the USA.

Class K stranding is finer than the Type III used across Pacer's battery cable, and at 8 gauge that difference is noticeable. It means more, thinner strands for the same cross-section, which bends more readily and fatigues less under vibration. The trade is a slightly larger overall diameter for the same gauge.

Eight gauge primary wire covers power distribution, charging, grounding and higher-current accessories. Black is the traditional DC negative color, with red stocked in the same gauge and length for positives.

Flexible color-coded PVC insulation protects the copper and resists the conditions found in enclosed compartments. Two hundred and fifty feet suits a boat with several 8 gauge circuits, and the wire is manufactured in the USA. Explore more marine wire.

  • Class K is finer stranding than standard Type III
  • More, thinner strands bend better and fatigue less
  • The trade is slightly larger overall diameter
  • 250 feet suits several 8 gauge circuits
