Octopus 30-Inch Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Kit

This Octopus Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Kit provides the flexible connections needed between a hydraulic steering pump and the rest of an autopilot or steering system, sized at 30 inches for a typical installation run. It includes two 30-inch flexible high pressure hydraulic hoses along with one 30-inch flexible low pressure hydraulic hose, covering both sides of a standard hydraulic circuit. Having all three hoses pre-sized to match means less measuring and cutting during the install.

An O.R.B. helm fitting kit and an NPT helm fitting kit are both included, giving the installer the option to match whichever fitting standard the existing helm actually uses. Having both fitting types on hand avoids a second order partway through the job if the helm turns out to use the other standard.

Because hydraulic steering runs at meaningful pressure, using hose rated correctly for high and low pressure sides matters for both performance and safety. This kit keeps that pressure rating matched correctly to each hose so the system performs as designed.
