The Novelty Cutlery Butterfly Folder has a 1.38-inch mirror finish stainless pen blade in a nickel silver handle cast in the shape of a butterfly, closing to 2 inches.

At 2 inches closed this is one of the smallest folding knives made, and the butterfly shape puts it firmly in the figural tradition Novelty Cutlery has worked in since the 1930s. Casting is what allows the shape. Wings and body are formed in the mold rather than machined afterward, which is how the detail gets there at all.
