The Mustang Survival Re-Arm Kit O contains a 38 gram CO2 cylinder, inflator body, inflator cap with metal pull handle and key, for the MD3170 inflatable PFD.
An inflatable PFD is single use until it is re-armed. Once the cylinder has fired, the vest is a piece of fabric until a new cylinder and cap are fitted. That makes a re-arm kit something to own before it is needed rather than after, since a vest waiting for parts protects nobody.
Kits are model specific, and this one suits the MD3170 only. Fitting the wrong kit can leave a vest that appears armed but will not inflate.
