Mustang Survival Khimera Red Manual Dual Flotation PFD

The Mustang Survival Khimera dual-flotation PFD combines built-in foam with an inflatable chamber in a low-profile over-the-head design. The foam provides baseline flotation while the inflatable chamber can add another 13 lb, bringing total buoyancy to 20.5 lb when fully activated. This hybrid approach keeps the profile compact during normal movement while providing additional flotation when needed.

Adjustable shoulder and waist straps help the PFD sit close to the body, which improves comfort and reduces loose movement during activity. Reflective shoulder patches increase visibility in low-light conditions and during rescue situations. Front shoulder attachment points provide locations for compatible gear such as a knife or strobe without taking up the storage pocket.

A front pocket can hold a spare cylinder, although the extra cylinder is not included. Re-arming is done by squeezing air from the inflation cell and installing a new 12-gram CO2 cylinder. The low-profile construction is also intended to make movement easier when climbing back into a boat from the water.
