Mustang Classic Orange Black Bomber Jacket, Medium

The Mustang Survival Classic Orange Black Bomber Jacket, Medium is a flotation bomber jacket with closed-cell foam insulation built into the body. The foam keeps you afloat and slows the onset of hypothermia if you go into the water. It is USCG approved as a Type III PFD under UL1123 and 160.064, so it does double duty as your life jacket on cold days at work or on the water.

This T1 version has 62 sq in of SOLAS reflective tape across the chest and around each wrist for better visibility in low light and during a search. Neoprene wrist seals keep wind and water out of the sleeves, and a full-length storm flap covers the front zipper. An internal waist belt cinches the jacket so it does not ride up when you are in the water, and the relaxed fit leaves room to move and layer underneath.

Four front pockets, including fleece-lined hand pockets, and one large inside pocket hold gloves, a phone and paperwork, and a pen pocket sits on the left sleeve. A hood attaches to the collar and is sold separately. This size fits chests from 38 to 42 in and is rated for wearers 90 lb and up. It is standard uniform gear for many government agencies and industrial and military crews, and it works just as well for boating, fishing and sailing. Other flotation jackets are in our immersion suits and flotation apparel section.
