The Megaware SkegGuard® 27061 is an inexpensive solution to a broken skeg, saving hundreds of dollars over skeg repair or replacement. This model fits Mariner 135 2 and 4 stroke 1978-2005, 135 2006-2011, 150-175-200-225-250-275-300 Optimax 2005-present, 150-175 1978-2004, 200 1978-1995, 200 2 and 4 stroke 1996-2005, and 225 2 stroke 1978-2004.
Constructed of high quality marine grade 316 stainless steel, SkegGuard incorporates an extra reinforced wear tab across the bottom where the skeg is most vulnerable, with a 3mm thickened lower plate that withstands damage from hidden rocks, debris, or accidental ramp dragging. It conforms to your lower unit so there's no discernible drag or performance compromise, and a drain hole keeps water from collecting and going stagnant.
