Description

The Marinco EEL ShorePower Cordset is a 50 foot yellow 50A cord with a jaw-clamp locking connection, ABYC and UL approved.

EEL stands for Easily Engaged Lock, and it replaces the threaded sealing ring with a jaw clamp that grips after a simple twist. The point is one-handed operation. A threaded ring needs two hands and several turns, which is awkward while balancing on a finger pier holding a heavy cord.

The wing clamp makes the connection and a secondary locking feature adds retention once engaged, so the cord stays put rather than working loose. It engages standard NEMA inlets, which means the easier locking system can be gained without replacing the inlet already fitted to the boat.

A built-in LED cord light guides the connection in poor light and gives a visible reminder that the cord is still plugged in. That reminder matters more than it sounds, since driving away from a dock still connected is an expensive and avoidable mistake. Explore more shore power cordsets and cables.

  • Jaw clamp locks with a twist, one-handed
  • A threaded ring needs two hands and several turns
  • Works with standard NEMA inlets already fitted
  • LED shows the cord is still connected
