Maretron Mini Tee for NMEA 2000 Trunk Lines

A Maretron Tee is used to tap into an NMEA 2000 trunk line for adding a drop connection, letting a new device join the network without cutting or splicing the main cable run. That matters on a boat where the trunk line is already installed and working well, since the last thing anyone wants is to open up a finished cable run just to add one more instrument.

Gold contacts give the greatest reliability at the connection point, resisting the corrosion that a lower-grade plated contact would eventually show in a damp bilge or lazarette. Keyed connectors make it effectively impossible to plug something in the wrong way, removing a common source of installation errors on a network with several similar-looking connectors.
