The Maretron High-Temperature Smoke/Heat Detector Kit brings intelligent, networked fire monitoring to hot environments like an engine room, watching for both smoke and unusually fast temperature spikes that a standard household detector isn't rated to handle.
The kit bundles a smoke/heat detector, an auxiliary relay, and a sounder, all rated from -25°C to +70°C for real high-heat marine conditions. Getting this onto NMEA 2000 requires a separately purchased Maretron SIM100, the module that actually routes the alert data onto the boat's existing instrument network.
