Kershaw Outright Black Framelock Knife

The Kershaw Outright in Black is based on an unusual trailing point blade shape, a 3-inch black PVD-coated 8Cr13MoV blade with an upswept edge that curves upward toward the tip, fitted to a black stainless handle with a G10 overlay.

That trailing point geometry puts more curved edge in contact with material during a slicing cut than a standard drop point gives, useful for anyone who does a lot of slicing rather than piercing work. PVD coating bonds a hard, corrosion-resistant layer to the steel, resisting scratches and daily wear noticeably better than paint or basic anodizing. The G10 overlay adds texture exactly where a thumb rests during use, and a frame lock secures the blade with the rigid, play-free lockup machined-metal locking bars are known for. Tip-down carry via the pocket clip keeps the Outright riding securely and out of the way, and the all-black finish across blade, handle, and overlay gives the whole knife a cohesive, purposeful look.
