The Kershaw Bracket scales the cleaver concept up to a 3.4 in blade and adds assisted opening. Its 8Cr13MoV blade is stonewashed, while the black G10 handle gives the knife a more textured grip material than an all-steel folder. A frame lock secures the blade after opening.
The Bracket’s broad cleaver profile is the visual centerpiece, but the opening system is just as important when comparing it with the Static. This model is assisted rather than purely manual, and its blade is half an inch longer. The plain edge keeps the cutting surface continuous from heel to tip.
